Clamping big stuff

Here's a 2x4 clamped to the end of the assembly table with a glue-up too large for my clamp arsenal.


Another 2x4 is clamped to the table at the other end (left side of pic). Reversing the heads on the "quick clamps" converts them from "clamps" into "spreaders." Then, they can bear against a caul which puts the clamping force where it's needed.


"Quick clamps" don't provide a whole lot of clamping force, but this assembly is going to be skinned with sheet goods anyway. Supposedly, the glue joint between the sheet and this framework is more important to hold this assembly together.
